Overview

Business Types in Storvexa allow you to declare exactly what kind of business you run. This influences default terminology on documents, the modules highlighted in your navigation, and the defaults pre-populated when you create new records.

Business type configuration is found in your Business Settings and can be changed at any time as your organisation evolves — without losing any historical data.

Categories are not affected. Selecting or changing a business type never modifies your product categories. Categories are managed independently under Settings → Categories.

How It Works

Selecting your business type takes seconds and personalises your Storvexa experience immediately.

  1. Open Business Settings

Navigate to Settings → Business Information from your dashboard.

  2. Select Your Business Type

Find the "Business Type" field and choose Retail, Service, Manufacturing, Wholesale, or Freelance.

  3. Save Your Settings

Click Save. Document defaults, terminology hints, and module prominence update immediately. Your categories, products, and existing records are untouched.

  4. Review Applied Defaults

Open a new document or check document settings to confirm defaults align with your business type selection.

Multi-location businesses can create separate business profiles in Storvexa, each with its own type.

Available Business Types

Storvexa currently supports five business types, each representing a distinct commercial model.

B2C — Business to Consumer

Sell directly to individual end consumers. Storvexa configures your account with retail-oriented defaults — receipts, invoices, and product catalog management.

B2B — Business to Business

Sell to other businesses. Storvexa sets up your account with wholesale-oriented defaults — order confirmations, packing slips, and bulk pricing.

Business type is permanent. Once set during onboarding it cannot be changed. Choose carefully to ensure Storvexa defaults match your primary business model from day one.
